What is a good time to cruise

My fiance and I just got engaged on the Carnival Glory 2 weeks ago and are looking into the possibility of getting married in one of the ports of call on a cruise next year. We are looking at the possibility of going in early March of next year to the eastern Caribbean. I am curious as to whether or not it would be a favorable month to go relating to the weather and number of kids on board. We prefer not to go when kids are out of school and would like to go when the weather is good (the weather was bad on our last cruise and we did not get to enjoy any excursions such as snorkeling). I would love to hear from anyone that has any advice.

Thanks
Tina

Tina - February, March and April are big school vacation months - both college and for kids. If you book during any of these months you will probably run into quite a few families. Also, the summer months, Christmas week and Thanksgiving week are big for families. We've typically gone in April and had good weather, but it is impossible to predict. Congratulations and good luck!

Re: What is a good time to cruise

Carnival is known for a family cruise line. Usaully loaded with kids. If you would like to spend any time in the hot tubs without a bunch of kids, forget it. Even though it says 18 and over it doesn't matter, nobody enforses it. Also, moms save seats for their kids that never use them so finding a seat in the sun or by the pools is a a hard earned adventure. Go out at 8:00 in the morning to reserve your own. It is the only way to get one. You could try another cruise line I guess. Princess doenst have many kids but it is loaded with the elderly. Kind of a catch 22
Either way, congradulations! and happy sailing!
