I suppose what they said is true. I don't know, I didn't see the article. What you need to consider is what is important to you. Are you going because of what the ship has to offer, or are you going because of the ports of call? I am no expert, but, usually, the cheaper fairs are on the older ships going to good ports or new ships going to less desirable ports (only in my opinion). Or the in between ships going to good ports for a fee that is somewhere between or about the same as both the newer or the older ships. I may be wrong, but that is just how I see it. My recommendation is to find a fairly new ship going to ports that are desirable to you. It will probably not be the cheapest, but still a good deal.
