Has anyone been on this ship? If so can please give me some feedback. Also the intinerary is San Juan, St. Thomas, and St. Mararten, can anyone tell me what are some good things to do at these ports? I will be sailing on the 13th of March. Thank You.
Been on her many times and she's my favorite ship. San Juan is evening so we did a city tour on a horse drawn buggy...just left from the exit of the terminal and down the road a little ways, you'll see the horses. Then you can go to one of the hotels for the show. St. Thomas, don't miss Paradise Point tramway. Walk out from the ship, past all the shops until you get to the road. Go left, cross over the road and the entrance is just in front of you on the right..$15 per person and bring your camera and binoculars it's a view not to be missed!!!
St. Maarten you can get a water taxi $5 and you can use it all day long. Check out Something Cool, right on the beach. live band and an array of drinks.
Just got back from the western carribean tour last Saturday . I loved the triumph! The ship was great beautiful and clean. The food was great the service was great and all the activities and intertainment shows were great. You will have a good time! And you will never go hungry!
Thi is a copy of another post:
We did the Triumph Feb14,2004 Eastern Carib. The Triumph was a blast. This was school vacation week in the northeast and elsewhere, so the were plenty of kids for mine to hang with. Th number of kids was stated to be between 900-1000, and every cabin was full. The kids rule this week. Pitty the seniors who pick vacation week (I heard a few grumbles).
The Triumph is starting to look in need of a major overhaul. They were replacing hall carpets our week, and the colors looked like the person was color blind that picked it. Little things were broken or missing here and there in the 8B cabin. The bed spread was worn out and showed a few thaters. But don't pay attenion to it's battle scars, and have a blast.
We had such a good time we are booked on the Valor next Presidents Day week, school vacation week of course!! The Valor's first sailing is Dec2004, so everything should be like new in Feb2005.
San Juan-went on shore- not much to do, good thing it's a short stop.
St. Thomas - Went to Saphire Beach- $8/person open taxi each way- beautifull beach
St. Mararten - Shopping w the wife & kids- I hate shopping, Strong frozen drinks cheap, you can get hammered while you wait.
