Darla, glad to see someone else booked on that cruise! We sailed on the Sensation in 2002, so we have been to Grand Cayman and Cozumel before. We have decided to do the Tulum ruins in Cozumel. We heard it is very good. We're doing Sting Ray City in Grand Cayman. There is nothing quite like it and I heartily recommend it!! We have decided to do the Dunn's River Falls and Dolphin Cove Swim in Ocho Rios. We have a balcony cabin on the Panorama Deck. See you on board.

Did you book them on your own or through the ship?

We booked our stingray tour with Nativeways....
And while in Belize we booked our cave tubing thru Xstream.....
Saved us some money doing it that way.

We will be cruising on the Inspiration in May with all of our children and their S/O/s. We have been to the Western Caribbean before with two of the kids years ago, and are trying to decide what to do this cruise. We did Stingray City through the ship last time, and may do it again, and are considering the cave tubing in Belize.
What was your experience booking on your own? Did you do this over the internet? What about the time in connection with ship departure? Was there transportation provided, etc. Thanks for your help.

I haven't booked anything yet just been doing alot of research. But I have noticed that they will transport you and run the same times of the ship. It looks like I might call and book. I found it is much cheaper to do it yourself.

There are 2 places in Grand Cayman Sting Ray City & Sting Ray Sandbar...we went to the sandbar as suggested on ship...it was highlite of our vacation. I would go on the earliest tour...not too many people there yet and sting rays are hungry! It was lots of fun. Best tour we did...7 mile beach was very nice as well.

Is there anyway to see the stingrays without scuba diving or swimming with them?

My husband and I will also be on the Triump May 1st. We've been to Cozumel and loved Chakanaab. But this time I think we may try Paradise Beach. In Grand Cayman Stingray City is a must see! We've never been to Ocho Rios so we're not sure what we are going to do there.

Just got back from the Inspiration. Belize and Costa Maya were closed due to rough seas. We booked the stingray tour through Sotos - it was great and 1/2 the price charged on the ship excursion. Rented a VW bug for $50.00 at Executive on Cozumal and drove all around. Went to a less crowded beach and caught a $35.00 snorkel boat there. Four of us fit in the bug comfortably. Have fun.
