going on the destiny. has anyone ever rented a tux for formal night? what does it cost?

Is formal night really that important that you need to rent a tux? Although I didn't attend formal night because we were so beat from the days activities that we actually slept through it, waking up at about 10pm. I didn't think it was that serious?
