What is best way to get from Orlando airport to the Port Canaveral Dock for sailing on Carnival Glory? Are there budget hotels in Port Canaveral? Are there any hotels that will pick you up at airport and take you to Port Canaveral? Any reviews on the Glory? Is it smokey on the Glory? Any information is greatly appeciated!
you can book a room at hotels that carnival will pick you up at and take you to the ship. Check with your travel agent or call carnival. I was reading about them in the carnival cruise book.
Hope this helps.
When we were there last year we flew in a day early and stayed in Orlando. There were 6 of use and we got a suite at Sierra Suites for $100 night. Took a private car (van) to Port Canaveral and back. I think it was $100 each way which I didn't think was bad as there were six of us. RCL was charging $20/pp each way for the bus. I found it was more comfortable for the private transportation. Hope this helps and happy cruising.
We are going on the glory may 29th eastern, we are flying in the to orlando the day before. in port canaveral we booked a room at the radison around 80 dollars. we also reted a car from avis around 50 bucks. the avis place in port canaveral is only a block from the radison and they have a free shuttle to the dock when you drop off you car. hope this helps
if you scroll down a few days ago, there are some good reviews of the glory! i heard it is smokey , but i think it depends on the person and opinions!!!!
I used Legacy Towncar. Their site is www.legacytowncar.com. All of our luggage fit in fine. We each took one carry on size bag and one large garment bag. Still had plenty of room.
I'm an x-smoker....not at all fond of smoke or even the smell of it...I understand what is said about the Glory not having the same ventilation system (or so it would seem) as the other ships....but I only noticed it once. Otherwise I didn't see/smell any difference between it and other ships. (Yes, some of the lounges are smoked filled - but that happens on other ships as well and it wasn't any worse on Glory.)
Jon, if you have 4 to 6 persons with you try www.lordentransfers.com They are helping me with my group for our Glory departure 4/24/04 at the same price as the Carnival transfers. Those of us flying in early are using mini bus and those flying in on Sat are getting a limo. Good luck
I don't smoke and carry an inhaler for asthma flare ups - but didn't need it even once on the Glory. The casino was a bit smoky but not enough to bother me. Everywhere else I didn't notice at all, great ship, great crew - have a wonderful cruise ttfn Jennifer
