Why not?

Re: seeking cruise mate
This is a cruise board....not a singles advertisement board for a "companion" for a trip to Florida. I don't normally alert the Board, but I probably will.

Re: seeking cruise mate
Why does the picture attachment say "johnsitting"? I think this is a joke, guys.

Re: seeking cruise mate
It's the variation of "johns" that's the giveaway. Some people just aren't very creative - like that "briangreen" guy who tried to be cute and failed. Remember the "Inuit grandmother" post a few days ago? Think predator.

Re: Re: seeking cruise mate
But Seriously Folks (Since I was going to ask anyway in a separate post)....

Does Carnival have a Singles Sharing Plan (where Carnival will match you up with someone of the same gender and smoking preference) to split the cost of a cabin? I know that Holland America does, but Royal Caribbean does NOT.

Thanks RICH

I think they do, however O have no details on it besides they pair males with males and females with females.

Re: seeking cruise mate
CCL does not do the "single-share" arrangement anymore. Too many problems to trying to match up people. But I think that on certain cruises they do offer to wave the 2nd person charge. Might check with your travel agent, and see what cruises CCL will wave the single suppliment fee.

PS-I agree about not looking in this section for a date for a cruise, I do think there is a sections for singles.

Re: seeking cruise mate
If you look under Message Boards here and select "people" it is designed for finding cruise mates....or at least that what many are using i t for..Good Luck

Re: Re: seeking cruise mate
We do have a section for "seeking cruise companion" under singles and many people use it legitimately to find people to share cabins with. (most platonically, but we don't discriminate).

Some of you who have companions may not remember what it is like to be single, but in the cruising world it makes a huge difference to have one - not only price-wise, but experience wise. I don't blame someone for wanting to find someone to cruise with.

I'll tell you that I have cruised solo before, and it is not all that much fun. People look at you weirdly and many don't want to talk to you (they think you have a motive). I hear it from women especially, that if they are solo and just casually make a comment to a man that his wife often says something rude or gives her a dirty look.
