It's down to less than a week before we sail on the Destiny and I have a question about luggage. The Carnival info says a piece of carry on luggage cannot exceed 11 x 17 inches in order to fit through the metal detectors. Is this 11 inches deep by 17 inches wide - the same dimensions allowed by most airlines?
Thanks for all the interesting posts - it really helps to get the excitement level up!!
We boarded the Conquest last Nov....
I will give you a HINT, don't bring a lot of carry on with you unless you want to be STRESSED before you get on the boat....
WHY do I say this...??
Because in the check in process you are shuffled in three different rooms & set in a roll of chairs (the easy part)... before you get to sit down you are standing in LONG lines that move SLOW..... Now if you have 3 rolling carry ons & 2 shoulder bags that all will go through the Xray machine, you will wear yourself out (I speak from experience)...
Do yourself a favor, take a couple of small shoulder bags with iced drinking water & a good magazine.... Check all the other bags & "Stuff" in with the Porter...
