My Hubby is a Diabetic & I am doing Atkins, to lose weight. We have heard that there are several low-fat choices on the Carnival ships, but what about low or no carb? We remember, our last cruise, on the Celebration, there was light frozen yogurt at the buffet. We can't remember, if there was any fat-free/no sugar added, or just no sugar added. Any help will be greatly appreciated! We cruise on the "Holiday", May 8th.

We were on the Conquest & is probably the same as the Holiday....
We took a box of Splenda & Green tea bags so I drank a lot of hot tea which I enjoy...
I think the Hot Chocalate machine did me in though....
I don't remember any Low Carbs advertised in the dinning rooms or buffets...
I am sure you can do OK though from all you have to choose from...
Stay away from the Pizza Bar...HA..

While on the Glory last Fall, our tablemates were on the Atkins diet. They had no trouble following their diet...though they did eat in the main dining room each night. The kitchen supplied them with heavy cream and sugar free jello for dessert. Just pick and choose from the menu and then ask the waiter if he can ask the kitchen staff to do whatever you need them to do.

We were just on the Elation last week. No specific low carb choices. But you can do extra vegetables no patotoes, etc. Every day there was a sugar free desert in the dining room and up at tiffany's and they were all very good. They also have sugar free ice cream. My husband upon our return read there are low-carb menues offered on all Carnival ships now, but we never saw them on the Elation.
