Port Canaveral to Orlando airport

Can you rent a car at Port Canaveral? Out return flight does not leave until 6PM . I would love to visit the beach instead on wait 8 hours at the Orlando airport.

There is an avis place in port canaveral that will rent you a car then you can return it at the airport , you might call avis and see if they have a shuttle from the dock to there rental place accross from the radison in port canaveral. we will be doing just the oposite renting at the airport then returning in port canaveral, I do know they have a free shuttle from the return lot to the dock so you should be able to get it the other way also.
