I went on the Merida and Rodeo tour....it meets up with the Dzibilchaltun & Rodeo tour at lunch time. We had an interesting buffet lunch of authentic mexican foods. There was singing, then some mexican dance (folkloric) and then we went to the arena to see the horses and their riders. It was amazing how fast they could circle the arena...it was amazing to see them do their rope tricks...especially while standing on the back of their horse. It wasn't the "rodeo" I was expecting but I wasn't disappointed. They were very talented. They handed out drinks during the rodeo....soft drinks, bottled water and beer. There was also a Mariachi Band playing. Very colorful and very entertaining. They also have some souveniers to purchase ...and they give you plenty of time to buy them.
