Default Galveston Hotels

We are looking to stay in Galveston the night before our cruise. I forsee a problem with this due to our sail date. We will be sailing on Jan. 2. I would expect that several hotels will either be full on the 1st or will have prices jacked up. If you have stayed in Galveston and have any suggestions I would love to hear from you.

Default Re: Galveston Hotels

Most hotels will deffinately be packed the night of NEw Years Eve - 31st. A lot of stuff going on. The next night is Saturday next year so that could pose a problem for prices. There should be plenty of options still available as they were advertising rooms for new years eve last year in May and still had openings but the prices were very high. I'd try and see since it was the day after New Years Eve. If you want a very nice hotel - can be expensive too - privately owned - the San Luis is the best on the island. Debbie
