Default Carrying nail clippers, etc.

Are we allowed to carry a manicure kit on board? I'm not really sure of the safety procedures... should it be carried in a purse.. or put in luggage? Never know when you may have a hang nail.
Thanks!

These must be in your checked luggage if you are flying.

If you go to the above TSA web site you will see that yes you are allowed to carry a nail clipper aboard if there is a metal sissors in your kit the sissors would have to be in your checked bags. You are vgetting the no answers because originally you could not carry them on a plane but the rules have changed.

All sharp pointed metal objects such as clippers, scissors, poscket knives and corkscrews need to be in checked luggage when flying. Even knitting needles. Hubby was an insulin dependent diabetic so we carried his syringes. We also had them in the original perscription container with the Rx attached and carried a letter from his Dr. The cruise lines have no restrictions at this time.

Please remember that there is a difference between bringing these items onboard an airplane in a carry-on, and bringing them aboard a cruise ship. TSA regulations are different than cruise line regulations. If you are flying, please call your airline to get the correct information about what is allowed in a carry-on, and what must be packed in your checked luggage.

Thanks for the info! I do know that carrying it on planes is a no no... but I won't be flying. Luckily I only live a few hours from the port.
Thanks again all!
