I have only been on one cruise and that was on the tropicale in 2000. Very small boat. My husband and I are doing another cruise out of NYC to Canada. Has anyone done this cruise? And do you have any suggestions ? Anyone else on our cruise? I am 48 and my husband is 50.
Took this cruise last September. Embarkation is tricky.Especially if there are other ships in port. Parking is $130 a week. Sandy-have your husband drop you and your bags off on the ground floor before he goes to the roof to park. We learned the hard way.
The ship is beautiful! You will really enjoy it! The Ports: Boston was o.k. Stayed on the ship for this one. St. John's was nice. It was windy and cold the day we were there. We walked around downtown for a while, then went back and enjoyed thre ship. Halifax was beautiful. Weather was really nice for September. There is a pier right off the ship. Many shops and a Casino at the end. Had a great! time just walking along the pier enjoying the sights. I am 55 and my wife is 54. You might have a lot of kids on the cruise since it's July 3rd. Debarkation was a breeze. Carried our own lugage off and was home in an hour. Hope this helps!. Enjoy your trip!
hostess- I live in New York and the 2 best airports to fly into to see New York are JFK and Laguardia.. If you have to, fly into Newark, NJ
