onboard ship credit hold
anyone know how much carnival / fantasy hold per person on your credit card, or is it
just a hold per cabin?

Re: onboard ship credit hold
It's a hold per person. On the Fantasy, since it's a shorter cruise, it's probably about 150.00 pp. Have your TA find out for you, or call Carnival directly.

Re: onboard ship credit hold
if you are unable to do this you can tell the pursers NO we did not want to hold three hundred pp for all six of us so we had then cx the hold and just put the amount we agreed on the s&s cards

Re: onboard ship credit hold
How much would they put for me and my three children in one cabin? Is a certain amount mandatory? How about the tipping? I'm really worrying about this because I only have a small limit credit card and need to save that for my rental car. Please help me rest my mind and start enjoying the countdown! Thanks!

Re: onboard ship credit hold
Each person is charged an amount that will be put on hold. Since Carnival automatically charges a $10.00 per day tip per person, that is included in the hold, unless you go to the Purser's Office to have it removed. Trish35...depends on how many nights your cruise is. Best bet is to bring cash or traveller's checks to cover the hold, if you have a low-limit credit card.

Re: onboard ship credit hold
I was of the understanding that on a 7 night cruise - it's $200 per per, on carnival. I do remember reading someplace that if you used cash, it was increased to $250. Does that sound right to the rest of you??
