I am so greatful to have found this thread. We are booked for the June 27th sailing on Elation. We have never cruised before. We are taking our 8 and 9 yrs. olds and are wondering if they will enjoy the trip. How many of the shows and bingos and such can they attend with us? Is anyone else traveling on this date with young children?
they can atend anything you atend with the acception if you decide to spend some time on the topless deck then they wont be alowed but just about everything else is fair game. the kids with have a blast, enroll them in camp carnival and go enjoy yourself.
We cruised with our 9 and 7 year olds last October on the Paradise. We never enrolled them in Camp Carnival because we're too paranoid for that, but they had an excellent time. When we asked them if they would rather go to Disney World next time they both said no they would rather cruise. By the way they are so exhausted from the pool and walking around that they fall asleep as soon as their little heads hit the pillow at night. In fact ours kept to their same bedtime of 7:30/8:00.
By the way if we wouldn't put them in Camp Carnival why on earth would we go out. Who knows who has those keys (room steward,ect.) Actually, one night , the room steward came to the door and knocked about 8:30 and when no one answered he came in to deliver a beach towel he had promised us. When he saw me approaching the door he apologized. So you see, it would be foolish to even entertain the thought of leaving never mind them waking up and not finding you there.
