Carnival air/cruise transfers from airport to ship's port???

Has any of you done the air/cruise with Carnival with the transfer from the airport to the ship's port?

If so how does it work?? Is there a Carnival rep. at the luggage area at the airport to direct us to the bus for transporation to the pier?

We've always driven to the port until this cruise.

Thanks in advance for any info anyone can give us.

Thanks,
The Scotts

There wqill be Carnival reps in "baggage claim". They'll be waving a clipboard with the CCL logo.

You won't miss them - they will be in baggage claim and it's very easy to find them - they know when the flights come in and are waiting with shuttle buses. We personally always take a cab or other transportation because we like to stop at a grocery between the airport and ship to stock up on bottled water and Diet Coke - can't get the Carnival transfers to do that . . . . :-)

You might want to check the cost independently too. We just got back from Tampa. Family of 5. Carnival wanted $18/pp to take us to the airport on return (we had a free shuttle from our hotel going in). Taxi was $35 for all of us.

We came in the evening before we sailed and stayed at an airport hotel. in the morning they shuttled us back and took us right to the loading area for the transfer. There are employees everywhere willing to help you (don't forget to tip the porter!).

Just MAKE SURE that the transfers are included with your Docs. If your cruise cost includes all transfers to/from the ship as ours did, you MUST have the transfers in your Docs. ALL OF THEM for each person sailing.

Ours simply had one page stating - TRANSFERS "As agreed upon".

What a hassle this caused us.
