getting to the ports

I am crusing for the first time on the inspiration on the 4th of July.Do I understand correctly that if you book an excursion with carnival you get off the ship first as opposed to booking it yourself? This would make a big difference as to how I will book. I hate waiting for things(the tenders).

Hi Anna,
Yes, its true, if you have a ship excursion early in the morning, you'll be the first to get off the ship. Not all ports are tender ports though, what ports are you going to?

we are going to Belize, Caymen, cozumel and Costa Maya. I am excited and nervous at the same time because I don't know what to expect. I usually like to plan everything to a t.

Hi Anna,
You'll be tendering in Belize and Grand Cayman. The tender ride in Belize is rather long, some boats were much faster than others. The ship will anchor aways out, so allow 20 minutes at least for the tender ride there, less for Grand Cayman.

Recently did the Inspiration and I recommend that you book some type of excursion in both GC and Belize whether you book with cruise line or on own.
