thanks for all advice ....this is my first cruise with my famely
My sister and I sailed on the Triumph in 2002. We had a cabin on the Riviera deck, mid ship, and it was wonderful. It was very quiet, and the rocking movement put me to sleep like a newborn baby.
The bad part about being on the Riviera deck is that we were far from the places that we wanted to go, not to mention the slow elevators that took forever to reach our deck. I used the stairs more than I did the elevators (I got to the upper decks much faster).
We were also a hop, skip, and a jump from the self service laundry where I was able to iron my clothes. They have washers, dryers, laundry detergent, an iron and a board. The ironing is free, but you have to have quarters to be able to put them in the washing machine and dryer, plus the detergent.
I've read in other threads that the vibration and noise in the back of the ship is impossible to bear, especially if you're on the Riviera deck, but I can't relate to it.
