we will have 3 cabins for the 9 of us and if i do this very early a good 9 to 12 months before the cruise for summer 2005 should i be able to get these cabins rightnext to each other and or across from each other? this would be great as it is grandparents, mom and dads, and grandkids. it is a very sharing group and i would be really convenient when someone needs something or needs one of us for something. thanks patticake
We booked four cabins for November of this year, two weeks ago and we are spead out all over but at least three cabins are on the same deck. The older kids are a deck below. Wasn't much available for sailing 7 months out. I should have let the travel agent put a hold on a block of rooms back in November when we first started planning. We would have picked what we needed and they would have tried to sell the rest, and I said no, we would wait. My mistake.

Patticake, Calm down, You wont cruise for another year. There will be ALOT of reviews from now till then. Dont change your view of Carnival jus because of a few people. Remember its the world most popular cruise line and it must be for something. So stop freaking out. You have plenty of time to ask so MANY questions.
Yes, I would get in touch with a travel agent and have them look for the cabins together, like you want. YOu can book specific cabins and you should be fine, but you'll need to do it early, best of luck, sounds like a fun cruise for you all.
Patti, we booked for a June 6, 2004, cruise (through a Carnival PVP) 2 adjoining cabins (with the private door between us). We did this in January, 2004. I may be wrong; but I think this is the only deck that has the "adjoining" rooms on the Conquest? There will be 4 of us family members. We weren't worried wether or not we could get cabins private door between us as our children are young adults.
However, if I had young children, I would try reserving the connecting staterooms fairly early if you can afford it and are not wanting to be on top of each other for 7 days. Some people though prefer to room 4 together in a stateroom as they aren't in their stateroom very much during the cruise. It's all depends on your preferences. You should also be able to get nearby rooms for grandmas, grandpas, aunts and uncles also.
