reader reviews often are telling us that buffet on lido deck on the triumph is really not up to par. they are saying food is bearly warm, bland, tasteless, dishes not kept full. any other feelings on this one. also mentioned that waiters serving drinks other than dining rooms, were rude on other decks especially if you were not buying lots of drinks and tipping well. help me here. is this just the triumph have trouble or arethese things happening on the other ships of carnival?? one lady told us do not ask for a cup of ice, it is not there job and they were very rude to her. thanks patticake
My wife and I were on the Triumph May 8th. I can't say we ate much at the Lido buffet, but when we did (mainly breakfast) the food was good, plentiful and the correct temperature. If you don't care for the buffet, there are many other options including 24hr room service, pizza, and ice cream, burgers and hot dogs, the New Your Deli, Hong Kong Noodle Co. and of course the Paris Dining Room is open not only for dinner, but for lunch and breakfast as well.
We didn't utilize the bar service much, but the waiters were courteous bringing us sodas we ordered using our fountain fun cards. As far as tipping, the few adult beverages we ordered included a 15% gratuity so I didn't feel the need to tip more.
