Re: Door decorating

The more I read this thread the more I think we will decorate our door. Of course dh doesn’t know it yet! We are leaving March 19, I was thinking of an Easter or springtime theme. I had two questions, first someone was talking about the blue ticky tac for the doors will that hold on all ship door or would scotch tape due (we sail on Legend). Also, where do you find battery power lights? I have never seen them, but again never really looked.

Thanks a lot

I think one reason people like to decorate their door is........
because it's their vacation and they can do what they want.

also ---- it is easier for kids to locate their room....they know what to look for.
they might not remember their room number.

wakedreams Very good point about kids finding their door. Yes the adults may be able to remember thier room number but with kids the room number might not seem important to them.

Wow. What a great idea. We have never thought of decorating our door. We are heading out in April with 2 other families (7 rooms total). What a fun thing for the kids in each room to come up with.

And it just so happens that our last day at sea will be my birthday. Guess I have the theme for our room door.

Thanks to everyone for the great ideas.

Enjoy.

Re: Door decorating

We decorated our door with our MEET AND MINGLE SIGN from another Cruise chat board.. then the folks from our Roll Call could find us.. Also my teenager thought it was great especially the first few days when he couldnt remember the room #. We put very funny Road Signs on it too... Since it was during christmas folks had Holiday things up and some put cute bells etc.. hanging from the MAIL BOX.. I just brought a small roll of double sided tape no problem and it came right off..

Re: Door decorating

Does anyone know if the doors on the Carnival Inspiration are metal?
I'm thinking it'd be a good idea for my grandma. She has diabetes and her memory is not the greatest anymore so I'm thinking that it'd be easier for her to remember decorations coming back late at night instead of the number. Plus, it's just fun! I can't wait for my first cruise!
