Default Cozumel Excursion

Hi All,

Taking my family on the Inspiration in August and I am still looking to find some excursions in Costa Maya and Cozumel.

In Costa Maya we would like to do a 4x4 jungle excursion with a trip to the beach. In Cozumel we're looking at Tulum.

I wondered if anyone would answer my questions about these excursions.

First of all, in Costa Maya;

Who is reputable for 4x4 adventures?
Do the jeeps accommodate 5 people (I have 3 children - we all need seatbelts not just fanny space)?
I have heard that the jeeps are only standard - is this true?
What are the kinds of costs, per person, that you have experienced an excursion like this?
Does the beach exploration allow enough time for snorkeling?
Are snorkel supplies available for rent?
What other sorts of excursions would you recommend for families (40/37/15/10/8) in Costa Maya?

Finally, Cozumel;

I've seen a lot of conflicting information about excursion costs for Tulum, including transportation from where the boat docks/tenders - what kind of cost per person can I expect?
The excursion seems to last about 7 hours - is there a lunch included?
Is there sufficient time to go to the beach and snorkel too?
Are snorkel supplies available for rent?
What other sorts of excursions would you recommend for families (40/37/15/10/8) in Cozumel?

Thanks in advance for any assistance - feel free to email me directly - indicate Costa Maya and/or Cozumel in subject line so I don't delete the email in error.

Tracey

I highly recommend Dario Santiao Vera of Cozumel Island Tours. They are very clean, and friendly. Got a coral in my finger and he took me to the Red Cross in Cozumel, interpreted for me, went to the pharmacy in town and purchased my antibiotics for me as I did not have Mexican currency. He and his people are great. Will never go to Cozumel with them!! Call him at 987-100-45 27 or 987 872-22 68.

Thanks Jay Rae - I appreciate the feedback.

I'm with Lizzy - do you know of contact info? (hang on a moment - I'll "Google" him)

Here is the contact URL http://www.cozumelhomes.com/tours/TourRoot.htm

I'll look into it more.
