Fantasy Ship - sailing 7/18

Anyone sailed lately on the Fantasy out of Port Canaveral? Any advice?

I just got off a couple weeks ago. She was overhauled last fall and is in very good condition and looks nice.

The best advice is to have fun and hang loose!

I went in April. The ship was very clean and nice. The steward and waiter we had were very helpful, but as for the rest of the staff I didn't get much assistance when needed.

What kind of advice are you looking for?

We are travelling as a family (parents in room with balcony) and kids (25, 21, 14 in an inside room) - I guess my questions are rather simple - do we need hairdryers?, we have the early seating for dinner so that we can make all of the shows at nighttime, is this necessary or could we eat dinner later and still make the shows?, anything we should avoid?, can we bring some bottled water with us onboard?, are there movies to rent onboard for the vcr?, etc. Thank you.

We sailed the Fantasy in January - pretty ship.

Yes, bring your hairdryers.

There are 2 shows nightly (same show) so you won't miss the show no matter when your seating. We had the early seating, then had a little time to wander around before the show. We liked it because we could see the show and STILL have lots of time afterwards to "play."

Yes, you can bring a reasonable amount of bottled water, but the water from the taps is purified and distilled. It's a good as any bottled water, in my book.

Don't know about the movies. We were never in our cabin long enough to watch a movie!

Have a blast and tell the Fantasy I said hello!
