Personally, I think so. Kids can be cruel. The last thing he wants to do is to stand out. I'm sure he'd like to make friends while he's there.

I'm a teen and personally, I wouldn't make fun of him. I'd tell him nice suspenders or something and admire his braveness and individuality.

yeah well i'm a teen and i personally wouldn't say anything mean about them, but there are a lot of other teens that are more obnoxious and insecure than me, soo..it might be better for him not to wear them =/

Hard to say. Some might, some might not. Much of it will depend on how well he handles the situation himself. Heck, I wear suspenders on the first or more formal night as that is what it basically calls for, black tie, cummerbun and suspenders. Now on the second formal night I tend to be a bit more 'creative' and that can range from a multi-coloured cummerbund, vest, white coat, differant tie, differant collar, etc.

BTW I'm 54 and could care less what other think. What is important is what my wife thinks and how I feel.

24 cruises and counting!

if he's a "typical" 14 year old boy, if one girl that he thinks is cute, says the suspenders are "cool" it won't matter what other teenagers say...suggest that he "dress up " the suspenders with some cool cruise themes
