I started this thread about a month ago as i was booked on that sailing and got booted off after already paying a deposit, we had 17 cabins booked and are now sailing on the triumph that same week. i was looking forward to sailing a new ship and a few different places than i have been to before. I guess the triumph will have to suffice,
That's really something! It's hard to imagine an outfit booking an entire ship that has accommodations for 3700 people. Not even counting the money which is substantial, they'd practically have to shut down their business for at least a week and probably longer.
This happened on the Navigator in May. A very popular disc jockey chartered the cruise for the week. They removed all the entertainers on board and brought in their own for the length of the cruise including Stevie Wonder ! The ship was re routed to Montego Bay just for him. The staff was miserable even thinking about it. They said charters are the toughest ,longest weeks at sea. They are treated terrible.
