Casino Money... Card
I was wondering how this all works...

Okay I am a gambler... I am probably bringing about $1500 to gamble with....

All my other expenses I was going to put on my credit card... so I was going to link my Ship card to my credit card...

But I was wondering.. I do not like to carry that much cash around with me, or leave in my room.. Can I have them put it on my card... so that I can withdraw it.... at any time? Glory ..... can not wait....

If you do that then you will pay 3% on it. I would get travelers checks for the amount to gamble and cash then before you go into the casino. What do you do when you go to casinos's and stay for a few days? Do you trust their safe in the room if so then you can trust the ships safe in the room I would think. Maybe you could put a cash deposit on your sign an sale however they won't keep it separate from anything you spend like on drinks etc. I guess I really don't know the answer and just wanted to blab.. :) sorry I didn't help.

As Anita mentioned, you will pay 3% on sail-and-sign advances. I used travellers cheques on my last cruise...they even cashed them right at the tables. There is also the cabin safe which I feel is secure.

Have a great cruise and good luck!

Thanks just figured I would ask and see what people said about it....

and yes I ussually use hotel room safes... But figured it might be easier just to "check in" the money on the card..

The Purser's desk has deposit boxes also.

Re: Casino Money... Card
Actually through Carnival Casino marketing you can pre deposit funds, or set up a line of credit that you can draw on.

Re: Casino Money... Card
What's the 3%? Is that for cash advances?

Re: Casino Money... Card
If you wish to "use" money from your sail and sign account, when you go to the little window in the casino to actually *get* the money they will charge you 3% for the trouble.
