Default Transatlantic/Repositioning Cruises

Trying to see If we can swing the Liberty Transatlantic cruise. How do you get good airfare for a one-way flight?

Is it better to get cruise air?

Airfare is always a problem and the best advice I can give you is to check both how much it would cost but using the cruiselines air as well as booking independantly. Many times booking independantly is the best but on these one way deals the cruiseline may well be the best way to go.

SLS, we are booked on Liberty Transatlantic on a Cruisemates cruise. We will be doing Cruise Air and from Newark I believe it is $669. Depends on where you are traveling from. I think you should check the prices on Cruise air before you book individually. Below is the link to the details of our cruise. Check it out.

We already have quite a group going and with 10 sea days this cruise is a winner. Let us know if you decide to go.

Tweety,

We're near Pensacola, FL. None of the usual flight places (Orbitz, Travelocity, QIXO) would let me book a flight for October 2005 so I just plugged in this years dates and came up with 1300 pp. Ouch. Put in Atlanta but wasn't much better.

We love sea days so when I mentioned the cruise to DH he actually started spread sheets to fill in what everything would cost.

Check out the pricing on Cruisemates, it's unbelievable. Give Nancy a call and see if she can help you with air. We would love to have you join us on Liberty.

Tweety,

Does your air price include the price back to Newark from Ft Lauderdale?

I will be giving Nancy a call with questions tomorrow.

Sure does, we fly from Newark to Rome and then Ft Lauderdale to Newark. Beats any prices I can find on my own. Did you take a look at the fantastic prices we have?

Yes the prices are really good. Will call Nancy tomorrow.

Did she find the cruise air or does Carnival?

She just books it with Carnival, but she will be able to get you a price. Hope you decide to come along.

Hi Tweety,
I have been thinking of booking on this cruise also. Air was looking to be real high for me. I would be using Boston. You got a great price from Newark. I guess I will check out cruise air. Boston is not that far from Newark so the price should be comparable. I am very excited about this cruise. Now all I have to do is convince one of my friends to go too.

Hi,
FYI: Air from Minneapolis for the Liberty cruise is $759. That's an excellent price for open jaw air; Minneapolis, Rome, Fort Lauderdale, Minneapolis.

Take care,
Mike

Emailed Nancy and she can get me air for $669 + $41.30 tax from Atlanta.

That is about half what I was able to find.

Looks like Dh and I will be able to swing it!!!!

Sls.. Excellent!! Welcome aboard!!

I rarely use cruise line air EXCEPT when it comes to "open jaw" flights like this, where you leave from one city, but your return flight is different than your first destination.
In that case, cruise line air is normally much cheaper.

Nut 2... Hope you can find a cabin mate and join us as well!!

And now as a BONUS.. Nancy has managed to get us a $100 per cabin shipboard credit!!!!
