Default San Diego Hotel

Can anyone recommend a hotel in San Diego California that is in walking distance (or very close by) to the port? We are sailing on the Spirit in Feb 2004 and would like a hotel room close by for the evening before the cruise.

Thanks!

We are on the Spirit 11/17 and will be driving down. Since there is no parking at the docks and we really don't want to leave our car in public parking, we are staying at the Best Western Bayside. They will keep our car for the 8 days and they will shutte us to and from the docks. We reserved an oceanview with balcony for $150 and this does include a deluxe contential breakfast.

Hi, We am sailing on Spirit on 11/01. We are staying at the Travelodge-airport. They have free shuttle service to airport and cruiseship port. The rooms are $55 a night. We are flying in 2 days early so we can go to the San Diego Zoo for a full day before sailing.

The $150 we are paying for our hotel includes parking our car, breakfast and shuttle service to and from and an oceanview room. This way we don't have to get up early and drive 3 hours. The city parking runs $10 to $12 a day and they will shuttle you to and from the ship also.

Vikki, like I said in my email, the Holliday Inn Bayside is directly across from the cruise terminal and one and a half blocks from the train depot.

Yes Holiday Inn is by far your best bet if you want to walk from the port. Make sure you go to Seaport Village. A bit touristy, but that's the fun. You can probably walk there in 20 minutes from the Cruise Ship terminal.

Hey Vikki,
I don't have any info about a hotel in San Diego for you, but I had to send you a response because I have never met anyone else with the same spelling of my name. Did your parents borrow it from Vikki Carr as well?
