Default Rosh Hashana on Carnival?

We'll be sailing on the Glory during Rosh Hashana. Anybody else ever sail Carnival during this holiday? I'm hoping there is a service, but Carnival says that don't guarantee it.

Dorothy... the answer is MOST likely, yes, there will be a service.

At various times we've cruised during most of the major holidays, and there's been a service each time... as well as a regular Friday night service.

In our experience, they offered a room, like the library or card room for any services but a passenger had to lead the service because they did not have anyone. From what we heard it was well attended and appreciated.

Dorothy,

We were on the Victory in December for Hanukkah. They took out a giant Menorah in the lobby and the cruise director was there. The passengers lit the candles, said the prayers, were singing and dancing. It was great.

I overheard a passenger walking through the lobby tell his wife that he didn't know which show this was and they were looking on the Carnival paper but couldn't locate the name of this show.

MickeyMom - ! If you've never been to a jewish service, it *can* look a little like a show - very lively at times.

Glad to know there will be a service of some sort - as long as *I* don't have to lead it!
