Travel Warning for Cancun

I just read on the State Dept. website that they have issued a travel warning for Cancun. Just thought I would post that so that people could be aware. It's always a good idea to be aware of your surroundings. Here's the link:

Thanks for the information. It looks like it has been sparked by the resignation of the city council of Cancun and the removal of the Mayor. There may be taxi and bus strikes that may block the hotel zone. It is also a short term advisory, which is usually a good thing. Luckily, there aren't too many cruise stops in Cancun but there are many board readers who do land vacations there.
