Just wondering --
if a cruise is ever canceled due to weather in the Carribean? we are leaving next Monday (yeah!) on the Holiday out of New Orleans and i know there are two hurricane's that MIGHT (too far out to know for sure yet) interfere w/ destinations.
and if so
WHAT do they "do" about it? (not like it is Carnival's fault) do they just give you a voucher to go another time ANY time you want (same place and length of time obviously)
Has it ever happened? Yes. There were a couple that were cancelled to the Bahamas and to Bermuda a couple years ago. Those are the only ones that I am aware of that have ever had to be cancelled due to weather in the last ten years or so. You should be fine BTW. Now the only time a cruise is cancelled is because of things like the only port these cruises were going to or could go to were in the direct path of the hurricane. Even if the homeport is affected they usually just go to the nearest othe port and pay for transportation to and from there.
