i was recently on the elation ship (aug 15-22 2004) and i spent a lot of time in the dukes bar and i was wondering if i could possibly get any contact information about damian who sang there every night that i was there. I really enjoyed listening to him and wondered if he was perfoming on any other ships in the future so i could maybe see him again. so if any knows where or how to contact him please post back or email at email@example.com thanx for ur help
We were in room E228 and we ate in the Imagination dining room! It was my first cruise and by far the BEST vacation I've been on!! I went with my friend (Im 16) & her 2 parents...(they've been on 22 cruises)...and I was like, amazed by the ship! lol Definitely wanna go on another cruiise in the future...specifically the Elation!
Although Damien is pretty good, my hubby and I were disappointed (Elation Aug. 8-15). There were many songs he didn't know, which is okay, but there was one song he REFUSED to play even though he knew it, and I thought that was very bad form for someone whose job is to entertain the passengers. I don't care how many times you get asked to play "Piano Man" you shouldn't outright refuse to play it (and we heard him refuse several different people on several different nights)....
We were hoping for a more sing-along atmosphere, which we had enjoyed a few years ago ont he Victory, but Damien was much more a watch-me-perform situation.
^^Yeah I agree. When me and my friend were in there...(with our non-alcoholic smoothies...haha), he refused a lot of songs too that people were saying he should play/sing...but a lot of times the people were joking and saying random songs..However, he DID sing a lot of the songs people wanted him too though...He often asked people if they wanted to hear certain songs and he'd play them if people wanted to hear them....I dunno, I mostly went in there because the guy I wanted was Damian's friend...(family) haha...
