My cruise is suppose to leave out of Port Canaveral Sept. 18th and I am starting to get a little nervous . I hope that the port will be open again by then. I have talked my husband into this cruise and I don't want his first cruise to be bad expierence because I am hoping that he will love cruising as much as I do and will want to go again. So my fingers are crossed that Ivan stays away..

I am sure it will be up and running by then. Thats almost two weeks away, it will be fine. The worst case be that you have to change flights into another port. I know Glory left from Miami this week, but is suppose to go back into Port Canaveral. Dont worry and stress yourself all out before your trip

Port C. is *supposed* to open, according the to port authorities AND Carnival, this Saturday (Sept. 11). Glory sails out of Miami, but back into Port C. on Saturday.

At least I HOPE so, since that's my cruise!

Apparently they are doing some emergency dredging of the port and they expect to be finished before Saturday.

I'm sure it will be fine by the 18th. Just cross your fingers for *me* on the 11th!

I am sailing out of PC as well on the 18th. Barring another disaster it should be there...if not it will be somewhere for us and Carnival will get us to her!

Relax and enjoy..You WILL have the time of your life I am sure of it!

Just keep your eyes peeled to the news. Ivan is on the way, but it seems to be coming up on our gulf side or up from the keys to central FL. Just realize that if you are going to the Carribean (east or west) that they have just been thru ALOT Of hurricanes. Also when you come to FL, please be patient with all of us because we too have been thru ALOT of hurricanes. Cross your fingers that Ivan dies out or turns so we don't get the 3rd hurricane hit in a month. I hope that you have a great trip and your husband enjoys it so much he books another one on the ship!!
