Carnival Launches Month-Long Sale

Carnival Cruise Lines has discounted rates on virtually all cruises departing between Aug. 14 and April 2, 2006, including holidays. The "Spectacular Sale" runs through June 30 and offers fares as low as $279 per person for a three-day cruise with a complimentary two-category upgrade. Other fares start at $349 for a four-day cruise, $399 for five days, $479 for six days, $549 for seven days and $699 for eight days. The cruises depart from 11 North American embarkation ports. The sale fares are valid only on new individual bookings, and the fare code CP2J must be quoted. For more information, call Carnival Cruise Lines 800-327-9501 or your travel agent.

Just called Carnival . The spectacular sale is an upgrade. Only one category on Sept. Valor. They said 8a and 8b are all gone alreadly( I find that hard to believe since all other categories are open). The sale price is that of an 8c with one cat upgrade.
We are already booked . We were just checking to see comparisons.
I love cruising with Carnival and am very excited about our next cruise with them.
I just wish that when they advertise a SPECTACULAR sale, that it would be more than a one cat. upgrade. You can find that at just about any time of the year.

Everytime I tried to enter the code, it kept telling me the code was invalid. It just kept giving me the current promotion (1 level upgrade) on any type or size room I choose.
Tried several Fla. ports as well.
