Just found my guaranteed cabin room on the Valor using the Kelly Method. We booked an oceanview guarantee and was hoping to get upgraded. But right now we are on the Riveria deck, room 1427. Oh well, at least we are close to the elevator. Maybe we will get moved again.
It is a method that a person named "Kelly" used to find out her (guarantee)cabin number on Carnival's website. You go to Carnival's website under the gift section and try to purchase a gift and have it sent to your cabin. You have to know what your Carnival booking number is, so if you dont have it, call and ask your travel agent. Type in your booking number and keep plugging in the different cabin numbers (start with the category you booked) You will get a message that says "Invalid booking or state room". When you get a message that says "You cannot purchase a gift online for a guaranteed cabin" then you have found what cabin you are currently assigned to. Keep in mind, it could still change up to the day you cruise. But then again, it may not.
The process is time consuming but if you have the time, have at it!!
Go to Carnival's Web Site and pull up the deck plans for the Valor and you will want to start on the Main Deck and plug in all the cabin numbers on that deck untill you hit the correct one. I started by using the legend to the right and plugging in the numbers of the most likely room they would put two people in.
