dunns river falls
getting down to the nitty gritty of actually booking these tours. i have looked at the ships choices in ocho rios and know what they offer. first of all anyone else been with peat taylor on t his one. does he drop you at the entrance and then you get a guide when inside.? can you just get a taxi to the falls and then go in an get a guide or are you chancing trouble getting trans. to and from ship on our own? we have five adults and four kids in the group. did you eat while on this excursion and where. is it short enough that we can just go back to the ship for late lunch.? help me. patticake

Re: dunns river falls
When we got off the ship there's a tourism office right in front of you. We got a taxi there for $50 roundtrip for six of us. The taxi waited for us at the Falls. We paid $5 per person for the falls and when you get to them there's plenty of guides waiting to take you up them. After that we went back to the ship for lunch. If you just go up the falls once it's only about an hour long. They have lockers there to put your things in whilst you climb.

Peat Taylor is the best! He will meet you at the pier and give you a great tour of Jamaica, great prices!!, not just Dunns River Falls. Everyone helps everyone else out. climbing the falls.Note- footwear is very important you need something waterproof with grip- water sandals are great, but a pair of canvas tennis shoes also works great, aqua shoes aren't the best, they don't provide support for the hardness of the rocks.
