Thank you Double Dee I will let them know that.(about the fishing) I think that reg tour will book a tour just for your group if you like. If he is willing to do that just join our group the more the better I all ways said. What is a Med. cruise Dee? 44 days to go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That sounds like my kind of cruise. My 25th anniv. will be Nov. 1st, 2005, I'm hoping for a Hawaii cruise. We are talking about it now. when we get back from this cruise we will decide then, if not Hawaii may be this Med.Cruise does sound very nice. So many choices. You may need to give me more details when we see you in 44 days. (Ye Ha)
Double Dee has your group got thier doc. yet. Missy heard on a nother sight that they got their doc this week from their TA. They will be on the same cruise as us. We should get uor soon I hope. 43 days to go.
Well Dee they should be here soon! The Ship Carnival Victory was at our Chas. port today. She is the sister ship to Carnival Triumph which we sailed in 2001. My 2 niece and I went to the port and saw it. What a beautiful ship. I can't wait to see our ship! Do you know we have a port with in 15 min. from my house and I never took a ship from here. It is very small port. 1ship can only use it at a time. My brother-in-law took the Galaxy from here, it was a9 days cruise they enjoed it he said but it took a long time to get on the ship. They was supose to leave at 9:00pm but they left at 12:00 am. so really the 9 days turned into a 7 day. the 9th day they was off the ship and home by 9:30 am.
42 days and counting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!
Go ahead Double Dee be my guest and do the roll call!!! My computor was down a day or two thats why you have not heard from me. Glad you got your docs. I talked to my TA today she said they don't come in until 3 or 4 weeks before the cruise date. I think she is holding out on me! What do you think? So what is your room #? Did you get a up grade? Tell me ! I'm excited for you. I would be doing the dance toooooo. My hubby is getting excited too, now he wonts to leave on Friday afternoon and take our time to get to Tampa . He wonts to drive 4 or 5 hours and stop then Sat. moring drive the rest of the way. So he wont be so tired when we gets on the ship. You know we wont sleep Sat. night. To many of us at the HoJo likes to party. We might even go to the dog races Sat. night. 38 days until THE day.
BiJkeen, Gottacruise, Mike H and LEtue are you ready for your cruise? It is almost time for you to leave! I'm excited for all of you. BiJkeen don't forget that review for Double Dee and I. We wont all the details, and pictures tooo. Tells us what we must see and do what not to wast our time on. Whats the best drink and the best bars. Big Craig if you are talking to me , I'm cruisingon the Miracle Dec 5th and we are doing
Exotic western Caribbean. I have been on the Triumph Dec /2001. We did western Carbbean. We like the Triumph. We would sail her again, when we have a chance.
I'll be waiting on the review. Happy sailing!!!!!!!!!!!!!
O YA , we are too, We love those nickle machines. We are big gamblers.(ha ha). Put it this way we like the slots machines, I only watch the tables. I don't understand most of it, but I like to watch people lay down those $100.00 chips and more and loose it all.
I had a friend that just came back from the Glory engoyed his cruise. They went tubing in Belize they used Coral Breeze . They had a good time. I seen lots of pictures. Now we are waiting on BjKeen review when they return. They will be leaving on the 7th. There are a few thats on that cruise, also Gottacruise, Mike H and LEtue. All have a great time. Don't party to hard. We be cruising in 30 days
Enjoy yourself!! My husband and I just returned from our first cruise and it was the best vacation ever. It was on the Carnival Miracle and as I think back to it, my eyes fill with tears. I MISS IT!!! It was a great ship and a great time. My husband surprised me for my 30th birthday with this cruise and it was soooo wonderful.
The staff on the Miracle is GREAT! We had Ramona and Jose' in the dining room and they were the BEST!!! We also had the late seating, which we didn't think we would like, but would chose it again!!! It makes your days longer, after you eat, go see a show!! Mark our cruise director was hilarious!
Here it is!
Carnival Miracle November 7, 2004
The Carnival Miracle is a huge ship. When I walked inside the Atrium the first thing I saw was lovely art along the top of the ceiling. I am not educated in art, but I can say that it was something to see. The elevators were lined with purple lights. This ship was elegant. The Miracle is the sister ship to the Pride and there are many similarities except for the décor’. The ship has the same lay out which I found helpful since I have sailed on the Pride.
The first thing that my group did was drop off our carry on luggage in our cabins. Ok I deserve 50 lashes with a wet noodle. I completely forgot to tell everyone to take a bag with the clothes for dinner on the ship. My family and I always carry on our garment bag so that we will have clothes for dinner. I forgot to share this tid bit of information with our group and one couple did not have clothes for dinner. They explained to the Matre d’ that their clothes had not arrived and they were allowed to eat in the dining room. I felt bad for them because they were embarrassed in jeans and tee shirts while everyone else looked nice. I must make a note to make sure this does not happen to anyone on the next cruise in May 2006.
I had an obstructed view on the Upper deck cabin number 5163. Much to my surprise, the life boat outside my balcony did not hinder my enjoyment while looking outside during the cruise. Sunday morning I was standing on my balcony early before the sun came up and I can not express to you how much I enjoyed the trip through Tampa Bay. The water was dark and the waves gently touched the side of the ship as the ship made it’s way through the Bay. Later in the morning after the sun came up. The sky was a beautiful pink before the sun rose. This was a spectacular view.
The second morning - I was packing to leave and looked up, much to my surprise there stood a man on the balcony. I thought to myself, “Where did he come from?” I walked to the door and looked out. He had all the side panels open as far as I could see. I stood there and thought to myself, “Thank goodness I was dressed while standing out there before the sun came up.” I had no idea how the man had gotten on the first balcony. This just goes to show that you never know when the crew might be watching. I’m real particular about what I do while on my balcony.
The next thing we did was all gather together at the buffet to enjoy lunch and each others company. The food in my opinion was very good. I usually enjoy soup and salad for lunch and did not change my menu while aboard ship. However my husband and son sampled many different dishes. They told me that everything they tried was good; they tried Chinese and American food. Each had a different dish and they were pleased. My cousin enjoyed Japanese food complete with chop sticks; he said that was good too. I took a look at what everyone was eating and saw a wide variety of food. Later I asked if anyone had any complaints and they said, “yes, our complaint is that we are full and there is so much food here.” I chuckled and went to check out the ship.
I was surprised when I looked at the dining room. There were pink light covers everywhere and I could not imagine what the theme was. At first I could not identify what the pink represented. They were pink grapes (I realized at dinner when the light color changed to purple). The Waiter and his Assistant Waiter were very nice. My only complaint was that I believe they were serving to many people. In my opinion, the food was excellent. I started with the soup and then salad followed by fish. The fish was mild and I liked it that way. I checked with everyone else in our group I did not find anyone who wasn’t pleased with the food.
The Casino had $.05, $.25, $1.00, $5.00 and $25.00 slots plus Black Jack, Craps, Roulette, and Let It Ride tables. The Casino was very busy both night and day. I won 180 quarters and ultimately made a donation. That’s ok, I had fun. One of the couples from my group spent most of the weekend playing “Let It Ride” the couple had a good time too (they also made a contribution). I did hear people winning. Someone won $2,000 dollars.
After dinner we went to the Casino for awhile and then to the show in the Bacchus Show Room. The décor’ was very interesting in Bacchus. I especially liked Atlas lifting the world.
The first night - I have been around dancers all of my life and in my opinion the dancers did an excellent job. The first show was entertaining and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys music and dancing. I don’t know the name of the show and I believe the music was from around the 50’s to the present day.
The show the second night - If you like the Beatles then you will probably like the show. First we watched a film with music and then the show began. The show was spectacular and the singers were very good. They sang many of the Beatles songs.
Early Morning Rising
I know you are probably saying “Why did you get up early while on your vacation?” I think I must have this internal clock that says you have to get up it’s time to go to work regardless of whether it is true of not.
I really enjoyed breakfast at the buffet on the Lido deck. I walked around and looked at all of the food. Finally I decided on Grits and Bacon. The Grits were good but runny. I’m thinking maybe the staff thought they were some type of gravy. The Bacon was very good. I watched the employees cooking Omelets to order. They looked good. There were fruits and cereal, Danish, French toast and coffee, milk and juices.
I thought I was going to have a hamburger. They smelled really good. Then I walked past a lady who was dipping soup. It smelled so good I had to have some. The soup was New England Clam Chowder. In my opinion, this was the best Clam Chowder that I have ever had. Unfortunately for me I can not eat much at a time. The only other thing I managed to eat was a small piece of cake (which was good). Do you like yogurt and ice cream? If you do they machines are on the pool deck at the rear of the ship.
The Second Night
Everyone was dressed up and looked great. We ordered Steak and Lobster. The food was very good. I am not a big Lobster fan, but I must say I had a wonderful Lobster that was very tender and tasted sweet.
There were Comedians aboard ship. I did not see any of their shows. I did see the “Not so Newlywed Game.” The game was funny. I would go and see it again.
I also saw two hot tubs, one in the gym and one by a pool.
This review is for all of my cruise critic and cruise mate friends. If you want to read more you have to wait for the book to be completed.
Chyna , we will leave the ship in one piece (I Hope). I got some partyers going with us. I will wave as I get off the ship. I/II be the one crying! I hope you have a great time.
Thanks Amy, and Bjkeen for the wonderful review. I know you wish your cruise would have been longer.
Does anyone know yet for sure that Grand Cayman is open? Has any one been this month yet? Well Double Dee we have 25 days until we sail. I am so ready.
we (about 10 of us) will be joining you on Dec 5 - i can hardly wait - been counting the days too and reading this post. Thanks for all the information on prior cruises on Miracle. I have read some other reviews on different sites - wow some people just cant be pleased! One complained more about getting on the ship than anything - and i am thinking to myself - HEELLLLOOOOO there are like 2000 people that need to go through security etc etc...Be prepared for that - I would rather wait than be sorry. And also - you are on vacation right so at least you are not working!! just chill!
Lisa I e-mail you a copy. That is the one Dee sent me. I hope you got it. If you did not let me know.Dee and I plan to meet. We have a game to play. Where are you from? I'm from Chas. SC.I'm glad someone els is going on this cruise with us. The count down has begun. 23 days until we sail.
