Default Has anyone taken single cabin on Fascination

Hello you all... I'm considering to take a singlecruise.com on november 27th and asked for a single cabin. They offered me a smaller inside cabin with bunks (category 1a). Has anyone taken this before? I wanna know which deck it is (down the disco????). I'm not planning spend time inside the room, but I'd like to get some sleep....
Thanks for help.
Cris

Take a 1A gaurantee cabin, and you will probably end up in a 4B thru 4F category. The 1A cabins are the only 150% single suppliment cabins on Carnival. The other categories are priced at about 200%.

i have taken a cat 1a,,its the same size of any regualr cabin onboard and works just fine, i have been on other cruises where i booked 1a for cheaper,,,just remeber same size as everyone else. only other difference is the door is on the side of the cabin rather than the end like most cabins, cause they put those cabins in side ways...if you know what i mean...

I booked a 1A Guarantee on the Fantasy last year, ended up with a porthole cabin near the front of the ship, 2 beds, Riveria deck. It was very nice.
This year I booked a specific 1A cabin on Valor, Main deck, similar area last year but on other side of ship. This one, however, has 1 twin bed and couch. I'm traveling solo, so it will work.
I think I got better solo rates on both of these doing it this way.

Cris, I booked a 1A guarantee on teh Ecstasy and was also upgraded to a standard inside cabin. I would defnitely do it this way -- especially because the cabin is of so little importance to you. The funny thing, too, is the cabins are not so small when it's just 1 person.

I just came off the Sensation and had a 1A. It was on the empress deck near the aft stairwell. There was a single bunk on the floor and a fold down bunk sideways above it. It worked out fine. You have alot of floor spce this way.

The 1A cabins on the older ships are larger than the ones on the newer ships. There is plenty of room in them. They will typically be on the lower decks and always inside. I have never had any trouble with noise in them.
Happy sailing and hope you enjoy your cruise.

Thanks a lot you all for the information, I'm gonna try get this 1a on my next cruise. I'm thinking about cruise on Valor, but all the 1a cabins are sold out. I might try an inside cabin.... wish me luck!
ps: Harry, I loved Andy and I know this felling .
Thanks.

On your ship, your 1a will be 165 sq, feet. A 4a [the standard inside] is 180 sq. feet....but it's a little smaller. Why? Because there is no second bed on the floor...which takes up about 20 sq. feet of room.

Your cabin, in it's entirety (including the bathroom), will be about the size of most bedrooms on land.
