Carnival offers an early check in through some hotels there ports. The Queen Mary is one of these. On the morning of your sailing you can check in at the hotel lobby, this lets the cruise line know you are on your way and should save you time at the port. I am not so sure if this is much help or faster but they do offer it. I personally have never used it but a lot of others say that they have. I have however stayed on the Queen Mary and I love her. You can’t ask for a better way to start off you vacation cruise, then abord a the Queen.
Happy Sailing!
If you get to the port before 11Am or so you can check in early in a room to the left as you enter the Queen Mary entrance way. Outside there are a few shops and venders including food items. While you are waiting you can tour the Queen Mary if you feel it's worth the price of admission. As 11/11:30AM nears you may want to keep an eye on the Carnival terminal as they begin lining up to go in...there are two lines...those who have gone through early check in and those who haven't. If you have gone through early check in then you get to go straight to having your picture taken...etc...while those who haven't are ushered to the Carnival check-in area.
