Just wondering if anyone can give me some information on where to go about finding the best deals for last-minute cruises. And exaclty how "last-minute" can you be in booking a cruise? Even as close as up to one week prior to the sailing date? I'm looking for a good price to sail on the Carnival Pride for its October 24th sailing. If anyone has any experience with booking last-minute cruises in the past, I'd greatly appreciate some information about it. By waiting last-minute, how do the cruise documents get to you in time? Do you just pick them up at the port?
I don't think that you are allowed to "advertise" other sites for cheap cruise-fare. but if you would like to email I could give you the names of a few good sites. I'm not sure, but I think I did read one time that if you reserve your cabin that close to the sail date, you do pick up your tickets at the port.
The travel agent you normally use for cruises should be able to get you on a last minute cruise. Mine is always able to get me on them at great prices. I've been able to book within 3 days of sailing and picked up my documents at the pier.
The one thing to remeber is that last minute plane tickets can cost more than the cruise if you have any distance to travel to get to the port.
