We just had a cat. 11 suite (not sure which category you've got when you say "balcony suite") on the Conquest and even though we absolutely did NOT travel light, we had so much extra storage space - we were amazed! You should be fine.

Lori, RE: Cat 11 suite- We were in a traditional balcony room last cruise and were able to get low pricing for a Cat 11 mini suite. Can you post what ship you were on, where your room was? I'd love to see a "description" of room amenities from someone who stayed in a Cat 11.
I have questions like: The refrigerator-I heard was a mini bar type, were you able to put anything in it?--(I heard you could ask to have minibar items taken out by request.)
What is bathroom set up like?
How big is the balcony, what type of deck chair or table is on it?
Anything else??
Thanks.

I cannot be absolutely sure, however we had a balcony suite last time--there are two options: you can lay them on the couch if there are only two people in room. If you are lucky, if there is an upper berth, have steward lower it and store on top up there. We were able to store a huge rolling suitcase in closet so it may be possible, other luggage could go under bed.
Although, one day we were in port and leaving for an early tour and saw a bunch of obvious golfing group on a low deck--all the clubs were stacked in one area. Surely all the people didn't haul there clubs down? Maybe there is a golf storage area. That may be a good question to call cruise line on.

Nothing to be sorry about and "common" is only in your mind!! We would have been in a balcony too if not for a group leader upgrade.

The under bed storage is pretty tall, as someone mentioned - we were able to store our large suitcase under there, so I can't imagine why you couldn't fit all of your things in the cabin.

Have a blast!

to Buffetfan - We were on the Conquest, Cabin No. 7283. Right now I'm at work without a lot of time to describe, but we found several good pics of the cat. 11 suites online. Maybe someone else can remind me where they are?? Anyway, the suite was awesome - unfortunately we think we are now completely ruined and will have to have a suite every time!! Bathroom was much bigger (bathtub with shower rather than tiny shower), two sinks, vanity area (very convenient!!). Storage was abundant. Furnishings were nicer (higher end) than other cabins. Mini-fridge was nice - it came filled with sodas, drinks, snacks, etc. We didn't try having it emptied but if you were able to do that, you'd be able to store your own things in there with no problem. The balcony was larger than in a cat. 8, with two nice deck chairs and a table. Feel free to ask more questions if you have them and I'll try to remember more details!

2 sets of clubs in a balcony room will be a tight squeeze. Luggage fits nicely under your bed, but not luggage AND golf clubs. If it's only the 2 of you in the room, then yes, you could pull down the ceiling bunk (if your room has one - not all do) and put the clubs on the bunk.

I would look into asking if there is storage available on the ship.

Possibly store them on your balcony? Plenty of room out there and stays somewhat dry if it rains, there are plenty of nooks and crannys to put them in if not outside, leave empty suitcases outside, do you think they stay dry when you fly and they are going into the cargo hold on an airplane?
