Just returned from the Fantasy. Has anyone stayed in cabins A1 - A4. They are not shown on the deck layout of the ship, but if you climb the aft steps from the Empress deck, they are there. Kinda like your own private area.
We stayed in one of the extended balcony cabins on the Sprit. You don't have the noise from the elevator and the balcony is big BUT you have somewhat pf a blocked view to the back of the ship and the room is handicapped. What did this mean a bit more room but no couch and the bathroom floods, yes floods. You have to have them bring in a whole lot of extra towels so you bacn make a small dam around the shower as it has no lip or enclosure. It is open to the bathroom which is larger to afford a wheel chair. Was a hassle all week but loved the cruise. Would have requested a change so it could have been used by someone who may have needed it. It was assigned to us too.

This is where the old Camp Carnival used to be.

We were given a free upgrade on the Miracle from 8A to 8H that we thought was a real deal untiil the first night of the cruise. Our cabin 8141 seemed really nice until bed time.
The cabin is just below the Lido deck where the outside metal stairs that come down from the Sun deck attach to the floor of the Lido deck. So every foot step rung through the cabin.
To make things worse the crew would stack all of the deck chairs at night and slide them under those same stairs. The time varied depending what was scheduled on the Lido deck but usually after midnight. At 4:00am they then slide the chairs out from under the stairs to set them back up.
Needless to say, not a lot of restful sleep on that cruise.
The cabins in that area had extended balconies, but that whole section is inset from the rest of the ship so the view straight down was onto the life boats, and the view forward was limited.
Otherwise the Miracle was great and I would be happy to sail her again, but would try really hard to get on the Empress deck since that seems to be the best chanceto get a quite room.
It's not a secret, but I have stayed in The Ownrs Suite (not on ANY deck plans) and only on Fantasy class ships. Approx 1200 sq ft and totally top of the line because they really are The Owners Suite. Bob D. and Micky E.'s private suites's. They overlook the pool on Lido. I have pic's if anyone's interested.
Hi Poolgal,
How can you get to stay in the owners suite on Fantasy class ships?
I won a cruise on Carnival Imagination in the Owner’s Suite and there is no pictures on these suites. Does any one have pictures of the Owner Suite on the Imagination?
Thanks

Does anyone else think that is a bad place for a balcony on a room that is suppose to be the best on the ship?? The balcony would be partially obstucted becuase of the lifeboat underneath it.

If you are paying 1,500 + for a room for 4 days it should be perfect with no problems and no obstructions.

I didn't get a response to my question (above), so as an "FYI": I stayed in this cabin #8354 on the Valor, and I'd stay there again. It was in a wonderful location and not noisy, except on a few occasions when the "antiques" up for auction were moved in or out of the storage room next door. I heard no noise from above or below or from the elevators.

It could be a good or bad secret it depends on the person. If the person doesn't care about noise then it is a good secret, if a person cares if there is noise then it is a bad secret.

How about any cabins in a corner on ships where the side isn't smooth? For example, we stayed in 7155 on the Spirit and liked it because the balcony had a better view when looking aft. I know there are other cabins similar to this on many different ships and they are easy to spot on deck plans.
Also, on Spirit class ships, the deck plans show a few rooms that look like they have much bigger balconies because of their odd locations near elevators. I haven't stayed in one but maybe someone else can confirm it. Theses rooms are 5236, 5238, 5245, 6232, 6234, 6281, 7258, 7260, 7303, 8232, 8234, and 8239.
Lastly, also on Spirit class ships, there are rooms at the front of each deck where there are connecting balcony/interior cabins. Families could have the cabins connected instead of across the hall.
As you might be able to tell, I know way too much about the Spirit class so I'll stop typing now...I hope this helps.
Specifically, which of the balcony-interior rooms are connecting. Also, I'm not sure which ships qualify to be in the Spirit class. Thanks alot!!

Interesting as I was on the INspiration in October and did not know about these. You can see by this deck plan of the "Sports Deck" where they are. I imagine all the windows overlooking the Lido are part of this suite. Perhaps Camp Carnival did take over this space as I vaguely remember walking past.

We are booked into 7230 on Liberty for our first cruise, which is Cat 11. We got the "suite" for $100 over the cost of a balcony room because of an over-55 promo (me but not Andrea!), and we think it's a pretty good deal. Just wondering if anyone still following this thread has any insight into the pros and cons of the various Cat 11 locations . . .

Yes, I did spell my name wrong.
I stayed in Baja 739 on Caribbiean Princess in 2006.
Its on deck 11, and its far aft on the rear of the ship on
starboard side I believe. It has an extra big balcony due to
being on the side of the ship.
It was SUPER nice having nobody to my left exept an open view of the ocean.
I also had the same experience as andyb getting an upgrade to a handicap accessible cabin that was huge with the biggest sea going head (Bathroom) I have ever seen

Another secret room which is on every ship is a handicap room. Don't get me wrong, I do not pretend to be handicap, but you can request one and they will book you into it with the caveat that if they do need it, you will be moved to another cabin in the same class as you booked. I have never been moved. The Handicap cabins with a balconey have a much bigger balconey and the bathroom is huge with a giant shower. It's the best bathroom on the ship excluding suites. The room is also about 50 percent bigger compared to a normal cabin and there is plenty of room to walk without bumbing into each other!
