Default packing for teenagers.

Past cruisers help me out. Going to western Carib in Jan. I have 3 boys...18, 16, 11. What do they really wear? I dont want to over or under pack. What do they need for diningroom on non-formal nights. I remember sending them to camp and half the stuff was never used. Please help me pack them. Thanks

uh.....perhaps..! I have not heard back yet from The Captain-have not checked my email yet today. Have you "black-listed" us?? Bye for now.
EDIT: Checked my email and had info from The C. Also got an email from Soto's, but they did not answer my question if we could make the 9:30 am/not. Guess we should not take any chances and will probably go with the 11:15.

For my son ( age 10 at the time) for a seven cruise I packed:

2 swimsuits
5 pr. shorts
7 t-shirts
2 pr khaki pants
4 shirts with collar
one suit
2 dress shirts (one white and one colored)
2 ties
1 pr. dress shoes
1 pr sandals
1 pr water shoes

We live in the Northeast so he wore an additional pair of khaki pants, collared shirt and his sneakers with a light jacket on the plane. He had plenty of clothes for the week. I also brought him an extra long sleeved t-shirt to wear in the water to keep him from getting burned during the hottest part of the day. We rinsed it out each night and hung it in the shower to dry.

Hope this helps.

Darcy

Darcy's list is right on the money!
Don't forget a baseball cap for everyone (to keep the sun off the head)
Each kid should have their own backpack to carry their portable MP3, Walkman etc, beach stuff
Good pair of walking sneakers

They need shorts and really nice T shirts for day time- leave grubbing pants hanging down the butt stuff at home. Bring tux for formal night. Wear sport coat and tie everynight- attracts girls like magnets.
leave shampoo at home-plenty on ship
Bring a pic of the kids to tape on the door
bring underwater camera and extra film
don't buy more than 1 on board portrait
buy kids an unlimited refil on soft drinks bracelelt
bring in as much bottled water, wine, and pop as you can carry on board in a travel lsuitcase with wheels.
wear swimsuit under clothes, while waiting for ship to leave- if warm weather.
Ask for big table where they can meet kids their own age for dinner, and parents will have a lot in common
keep an eye so they are back in their rooms by midnight, you phone their room and then do it half hour later, just to make sure
go to early seating so you have the night free, and aren't pooped out

You guys have some great ideas. I love the call the room part. . My oldest will have no problem with this packing list. I may have to do some shopping for the 16/10 yr. old. These boys are t-shirt/jeans kids. I will have to buy each one a couple of button up shirts and a pair of Kaki's. What is the minimal shoe requirement for non-formal night for kids? Do they have to have dress up shoes? I did not think of the long sleeve t-shirt. I am going to add that to my packing list now. I dont think we are going to the formal night. We are casual cruises and dont want to pack for it. Thanks.
