Just wondering if anyone has taken a Ferry to Rum Point Beach for the day? I have read a few things about taking a ferry from the Hyatt hotet? Have not found too much information on this subject and information is very scarce. Also, I have read that you can go to Singray City from here? I guess they have tours? Any info on this would be appreciated.
I had trouble finding much information on this also. I seem to recall that I found some information on www.fodors.com. In the end, we wound up not going as it looked like the transit times were too long for the short period we were in GC. If you're looking for a good Stingray city/sandbar tour operator, I highly recommend Soto Tours/Cruises. I tool 22 people on them, and everyone was very pleased!
About 4 years ago, I spent a week in GC. We did the ferry to Rum Point!!!!!
A DEFINATE DO!!!!!!!!!!!
It is so pretty there. Water sports, sand sports, food, music, hammocks. I think the ferry ran every 1/2 or 1 hr from 8 or 9 till 5 or 6. I would highly recommend it!
Can cruise people take the ferry? Isn't run through a hotel? (Hyatt) Would a cruise person have enough time to take the ferry there and back and have a good amount of time at the beach? (9 hours in port)
I hope this link helps. The ferry times didn't work out for us. However, depending on when you're going, Rum Point has not reopened as of yet. Last I heard from Nativeway, it was due to reopen on 12/15. However I haven't been able to find out anything about if and when the ferry will be up and running
We also stayed at the Hyatt years ago and took the ferry from there to Rum Point. Its a great relaxing beach day, the water is beautiful. YOu pass Sting Ray City on the way over, I think you'd have to do one or the other, not sure if there is any excursion that does both.
