beach in nassau

i am looking for a beach in nassau where you can find a nice hammock and a margarita. are there any beaches that serve drinks? this is the best site. the veteran cruisers really help rookies like me. thanks in advance.

We were in Nassau from early morning until Midnight. We took Bus 10A to Breezes ($1), walked up to the front desk, and bought day passes ($60). Entitles you to all-inclusive privileges from 10 am to 6 pm, and it was really nice. We met others there from RCL who had paid $87 as an excursion, but they didn't arrive at the resort until after 2 pm. Boy, were they MAD, and who could blame them!

If you decide to go consider taking a taxi there; the bus takes a round-about route to Breezes (about 20-25 mins), but you can catch it right out front to go straight back into town (5-10 mins).

FYI, the downtown shops, etc. close at 6:00 on Saturdays. We had planned to do our shopping then, but had to tough it out at Sr. Frog's instead.

WE stayed at Breezes a few years ago for a week. The facilities are really nice there.
Make sure if you take the bus that you have the exact amount. If you give the driver a $5 and the fare is $1 you will not get change back. That is how it was when we where there. So I suggest you keep lots of $1.00 on hand.

I enjoyed an excursion to Paradise Island (The Blue Lagoon). I don't remember hammocks, but you could purchase drinks and food.

i havent been to the bahamas yet, but am considering going to the blue lagoon on my next cruise ( as of yet not booked 8-( ). sounds heavenly. happy cruising!
