Default Movies in cabin FREE or not free?

I heard that the "first run movies" that Carnival advertises are not free in your cabin?

Can someone confirm this? Are they free or not? If not, how much are they?

As stated on the back of my Carnival Caper from the Spirit.....There are 30 pay-for-view movies available on your TV. All movies sell at $8.99 (Adult content movies are $13.99) and are available 24 hours a day.

They also have 2 channels with "older" movies and 1 Kid's movie for free.

Yeah, I put a complaint on my comment card, because we had just got off the Monarch the month before, and they had "Pirates" for free, while Carnival wanted $8 for it.

On the celebration- we had 3 movies - for free. They were new releases and just played over and over. We also had a regular channel with the news and then carnivals video from that week. No PPV

I don't remember any PPV on Elation, My sister watched Lord of the Rings at no charge.
