Conquest 1/2/05, Kids, Cozumel and other ?'s

Hello, we're driving from Cincinnati on New Years Eve for our first cruise!!

Can anyone recommend a nice family beach in Cozumel with great activities, great food and not too crowded?

Our cabin is on the main deck under the Galley.....how awful is that going to be?

We are going to pack a suitcase (which we are going to check and not carry on) with soda, water and alcohol....will they confiscate it?

We're bringing our 4 year old daughter and 10 year old son along, if you have kids close to this age and are cruising with us, give a holler, we'd love to hear from you!

We just got off of the Conquest on Dec 12th. We had an inside cabin(2377)on the main deck aft. It too was under the galley and we never once had a bit of noise form the galley. NONE....cabin was very nice. You might bring a multi outlet extension. There is only one 110 pulg in for the whole cabin. None in the bathroom except for electric razors but it is not a universal plut that will except a 110 plut. You will not have any trouble taking extra sodas or water on board but you might not get the alcohol thru. No need to anyway. The drinks on board are not that expensive anyway. We went to Chankanaab Park in Cozumel and our kids loved it. There is snorkeling right off the beach. They have shade huts, chairs, restaurant, bar, restroom, lockers, showers and a gift shop. They also have a botanical garden and a Mayan ruin replica. This is where the dolphins are. Even if you don't swim with them you can see them. They also offer a sea lion show which was great. Hope this helps.
