I will be taking my kids (8 & 4) on their first cruise and I need to know which one has the best stuff for them? I can deal, but they aren't thrilled and happy, ain't nobody gonna be happy.
HELP , please.
Carnival has great programs for kids and I would suggest a newer ship for kids. If you wish to try a differant line then one of the RCI Voyager Class ships is great or a newer RCI ship as they have lots for kids as well. Disney as always has quite a bit to do for kids but is more expensive and I personally am Disneyed out living so close to Disney World. <G>
This wont apply to you as much C.C. since you kids are younger my younger daughter 13 found very few activities for her age to old for one yet to young for the other. but our older daughter 15 had a blast with the teen group. Ari on the Fascination was in her opinion the best leader of any group she has ever joined! This says alot since she is in the Army Cadets, plays soccer in the school band, and enjoys listening to Eminem, AC/DC, Pantera. If your a teen or have a teen and your going on the fascination tell Ari Steph said hi. (She walked in as I was writing this)

Carnival, with it's HUGE curly slides, definitely has the best pools. I think you will find Carnival or RCCL both wonderful for children. You can't go wrong with either as far as the kids are concerned. I would just look for the best deal, the itinerary you liked the best and book!

Destiny class ships (Destiny, Triumph , Victory) have a better water slide than Fantasy class --- the slide on the Destiny class ships ends up in about 1 foot of water. The Fantasy class slide emptys into the pool which I think (from memory)...is 5 Feet deep.
This was a deciding factor for me and my children..... however, I think there is a height restriction on the slide, so I am not sure if a 4 year old would be able to go on the slide.
Also , pool depth was a factor for my kids. My 7 year old and 6 year old were both to short to be in the pool unattended. But they had a great time in there with me.
The pools were 4 - 5 feet deep. They do have a childrens pool on Carnival ships and this is a wading pool that is 18 inches deep.
Alot of people also say that Disney blows everyone out of the water for childrens programs. But Carnival is second best. (and a heck of alot cheaper if you are on a budget)
