Default Ft. Laud. to Miami, time to get there

If we book a flight arriving at 1:50 in Fort Lauderdale and have a driver waiting for us at the luggage claim area, would we have enough time to get to the port of Miami for a 4:00 p.m. sailing. I understand it is abour a 27 mile drive, but with traffic and all I'm not sure......Help. Thanks, Daneen

I'd do whatever possible to get an earlier flight. If you flight is delayed at all, you cruise will be to.

I'd recommend taking that flight, but the day prior. Get a hotel using priceline, and know you'll make your ship the next day.

Hi Daneen

I think it would be wiser to get yourself on an earlier flight or as Kuki says, same flight but the day before just in case.

Recently we travelled Miami/Ft. Lauderdale and then return. Journey from Miami was a 'gem' only 20 minutes but the return way took over an hour as traffic was busy, so you never know.

There are plenty of Hotels in Miami that do the port shuttle, we stayed at The Regency near Miami Airport and they have a complimentary shuttle service down to the port for guests at 11.00a.m. and 1.00p.m. each day.

Hope this helps,

KG
